Internet Translation
Being the internet savy person that I am, (Laugh) I was certin that I could use the trusty internet to simplify some of the difficulties we have with translating some of the quotes we receive. Rather that spending endless hours with the contractor translating each and every word, we just overlook some of the more minor priced items ($400-$5,200 ) etc and I expect I can research it later.So here I go jumping to the trusty "Babel Fish Translation " service hosted by Altavista and type in a few words to be translated from French to English.
A Few samples of the results follows
French .................................................English
Foundation Lalonde................................Foundation Lalonde
ruff balayeuse centrale............................ruff sweeping power station
poutrelle et ferme de toit.........................beam and firm of roof
Now I still haven't figured out what Foundation Lalonde is so if any of you out there know please pass it along to me. (Its apparenty worth $5,200.....I guess we must really need it....)
P.S. If ever you need to send something important NEVER use these services to translate anything......
