Kitchen Design work.

Well we have been telling you about our woes with the kitchen design place and bad just went to worse. After delivering the cabinets we and the installers identified the following 19 discrepancies.
Items needing addressing

(Preliminary review of Cabinets delivered 15th July 2004)

Kitchen

1) Cabinet Glaze should be brown (Missing)
2) Kitchen upper corner cabinet too high
3) Kitchen lower corner cabinet wrong layout
4) Pantry too wide (Both set of doors need to be equal in size)
5) Pantry doors above Fridge do not align with pantry doors beside
6) Upper cabinets left and right of window incorrect size (Interfere with moldings)
7) Lower cabinets under windows incorrect size.
8) Upper cabinets above stove wrong size.
9) Lower cabinets by stove wrong size.
10) Tray holder section missing on island.
11) Pot Drawers Missing On island
12) Cabinet depth inappropriate for microwave (SB 15+ Inches)
13) Towel Rack Missing
14) Door Knobs missing

1st floor bath

15) Cabinet too large and hits toilet.

2nd Floor Master

16) 1 Cabinet too large
17) Both Cabinets missing drawers

2nd floor Main Bath

18) Design called for 1 sink on right.
19) Drawers missing.

After 2 days delay the designer finally came to the house to see the magnitude of the design flaws, after which he said hell look into fixing them.

It is now 15 days after there failed installation and we received a call from the President denoting that the price we paid on the contract is the wrong price and he wants $4,500 more or he won't finish the job.

Well to say I blew a gasket is an understatement. He them accused me of harassing them, threating them, as well as knowing that they had messed up with their pricing.

So today I spent the day calling the likes of CTVs greyhawk and The Ottawa Citizens Tony Cote, Customer Advocats. As well as the BBB in Ottawa.
